As we approach our
bicentenary,

We’ve decided to do things
differently in the future.

Looking back has
made us look ahead.

200 years after St James was first completed, an exciting new direction is emerging, devised to ensure its survival for the future. 200 years after St James was first completed, an exciting new direction is emerging, devised to ensure its survival for the future.

An historic venue.
A new vision.

Working with the community, St James aims to inspire, educate and entertain by broadening its outreach and the appeal of this much-loved building. As part of the bicentenary celebrations, our aim is to expand beyond the formal focus of St James, and cover the widest range of interests and organisations. With this in mind, we are inviting individuals and Guernsey businesses, together with educational, social and youth organisations to become our partners in keeping St James vigorous and relevant.

Part of our remit is to widen the net of St James’ appeal, to encourage a more wide-ranging and younger audience. The special bicentenary events being planned include music, theatre, literature, performance art, comedy, sport, food and drink as well as education and outreach initiatives

Our contemporary new brand and identity aims to sharpen the image of this iconic building. It reflects our vision of a fresh and energised St James, familiar to our existing friends and audiences, while welcoming those who may have yet to step inside.

Be part of the dynamic
future of St James.

St James may have been saved from destruction in the 1970s, but its continued survival depends on an army of hard-working volunteers and generous, forward-thinking individuals and businesses.

Whether you are an institution, community organisation, business or individual, we invite you to support us and share in the exciting new potential of St James.

We are looking to create mutually-beneficial partnerships, helping to match the occasion to your particular profile and objectives, either in our bicentenary year or beyond.

Sponsorship and support packages range from as little as £1,000 to £10,000 plus.

Your support is vital to this once-in-a-generation opportunity to enrich lives through music and the arts, nurture tomorrow’s newcomers and rising stars, and open the doors of this extraordinary, unique building to as many people as possible.
